Grayshott Cricket Club’s 2016 Beer & Wine Festival

The event kicked off on Friday night with a Quiz, great food cooked by Alex Ford from the Beacon Hill Coffee Lounge, the evening finishing off with local band Coyote putting on a great show. On the Saturday a large crowd gathered towards the end of an exciting game of cricket between Grayshott 2nd XI and Shalford 1st XI.

Sri Lankan food was the theme for the evening kindly cooked by Devi Sriharan followed by an excellent display from Steel Strum.

Sunday was a more relaxing day with the six a side cricket competition along with a BBQ and South African Braai as the theme for food thanks to Andre Oosthuizen

The cricket was entertaining, the eventual winners Rob Gregory’s side “The fine legs” who beat Danny Brown’s team “The Village People” in the final.

Raffle Winner of the Signed England Cricket bat kindly donated by Waitrose was Graham Sampson

The event raised valuable funds for the club as well as £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Many thanks to everyone who supported the event, and in particular the organisers led by Danny Brown who are already planning for next year.
